Got Used Items for Goodwill?
Ingraham FBLA is holding a Goodwill Donation Drive as a fundraiser on October 25th from 1-5pm. The location is on Ashworth Ave. N., near the ramp going up to the new building. There will also be a pre-collection on the Friday the 24th after school from 3-5.
We want your stuff! – except items that cannot be donated : auto-parts, hazardous materials, large appliances, and mattresses.
Halloween Fun at Ingraham
Halloween Spirit Week:
Monday: Scary/crazy sock day
Tuesday: Farmer Flannel dress –up
Wednesday: Orange/Black day
Thursday: Old school games at lunch near AC/apple bobbing,(each have separate buckets!!!) mummy wrap contest, pumpkin bowling
*Pumpkin carving contest (drop pumpkins that have been carved at HOME) in the courtyard pumpkin patch
Friday: Dress Up for EVERYONE including STAFF. Kids love to see us in our costumes!!!! *Stop by the AC for Trick or Treating if you are in costume!!Have a Great Week! IB

*All-School Pumpkin Carving Contest – Submit your pumpkin to the AC on Wednesday the 29th and Thursday the 30th. Be sure to label your pumpkin with your name and 2nd period class. The winner will be announced on the Friday of Halloween. THERE IS A PRIZE for the winner!
IB Exam Registration News
IB exam registration packets for the May 2015 exams are now available and have been distributed in IB English classes. Registration for exams will run through Monday, Nov. 3 2014. Registration forms and payment must be received by that date. Federal and state programs provide financial aid for low income students.

Superintendent Meet and Greet Opportunities
Dr. Larry Nyland, who was appointed by the School Board in June to serve as Interim Superintendent, has outlined several opportunities this fall to meet with community members. These informal gatherings will include a few short remarks from Dr. Nyland, followed by time for an open question and answer period.

“I look forward to continuing to get to know our students, families, staff and community members,” Dr. Nyland said. “I want to hear from our school communities about what’s going well in our schools, where we can improve and how I can best serve this school district’s mission of ensuring every student graduates prepared for college, career and life.”

The following one-hour informal meetings are open to the public:
• Monday, September 29 from 6-7 p.m. at Neighborhood House 6400 Sylvan Way SW Seattle, WA 98126 (Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese interpreters will be available)
• Tuesday, September 30 from 6-7 p.m. at New Holly Community Center, 7054 32nd Ave S Seattle, WA 98118 (Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, Tagalog interpreters will be available)

Can You Sew?
Ingraham Drama is looking for a few stitchers to help with some costumes for Our Town. We need help making a few long skirts and blouses for the ladies. If you are interested please email hloveson@seattleschools.org. You will get a packet with the pattern cut out and all the fabric and notions. You just have to put it together.
